Volkswagen has unveiled the concept version of its much anticipated compact SUV. The Tiguan Concept is set to be launched at the Los Angeles Motor Show that begins on December 1st and Volkswagen is saying that a production version of the compact SUV will be ready in 2007. The car is based on the Concept A which we have seen earlier, but has 4 doors instead of 2 and few changes to the exterior and interior.
The Volkswagen Tiguan Concept seems to closely resemble what the production version of the compact SUV will look like at its launch since the design is toned down from what it originally looked like. Under the hood the Volkswagen Tiguan Concept has the new BLUETEC diesel engine that was developed in partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Audi. The car is expected to be ready for sale in 2008 in the UK.
